On Sunday, February 18, the Vanderbilt Public Relations Society held its annual fashion show in the Student Life Center. This year's theme was "Vandy's Next Top Model." The show featured looks from Impeccable Pig, Stylez of Elise, Native+Nomad and Dono.
Student model Quintin Hall told us about his experience as a model.
"It's pretty cool that we got to have own modeling choice for the [final] outfit. And the vendors were really great about fitting us as well."
Zander Alley, a Vanderbilt undergraduate student and director of the show, said, "I think it's pretty fun to get to work behind the scenes. I think it's a really good way to get experience doing event planning, and working under time pressure."
Alley also mentioned that he had made great memories working on this year's show.
Every year, proceeds from the fashion show go to a different local charity. This year, VPRS selected to benefit Safe Haven, a local organization which helps Nashville families overcome homelessness.
"They do such a great job of supporting the Nashville community... and the homeless," said Alley.
Hall summed up the show in a few sentences: "Great vendors, great models, great people running it - VPRS. It was just a great collaboration."
